DOA This one was DOA. The disk didn't permit me to save a file to it or to format it. Fortunately the return process is fairly painless.

DOA devices I purchased 8 of these and 2 out of the 8 were DOA. Trying to get an RMA setup was a nightmare

Didn't work Didn't work even though it was new out of the box, talked to WD tech support, they couldn't get it to work either. Returned the hard drive and got a quick refund.

Who could ask for more? Simply amazing device. I can not get over just how compact this 5 TB drive is. Data transfer rates are incredibly fast (this is a native USB-C device). Comes with NTFS file system pre-formatted (which I find far more space efficient than exFAT). Low power requirements, easi...

👍 The top of the drive is blue metal (I think aluminum) and the bottom is black plastic. As far as transfer speed, it gets me about 150 mb/s. Is it worth the extra $$$$ compared to the Passport or Elements? Eh. Maybe.

Looks to be a solid fast external Drive. Drive is fast and works flawlessly. I am using this to replace a smaller drive connected to my TV. The drive contains my TV and Movie Collection. It did take a while to copy the 4 tb to the drive from my old drive, but that may of been my PC.

Storage reliability for all data requirements. This drive arrived in a timely manner. The drive connected to my computer immediately. This drive is fast and reliable.

Great Drive I had a regular My Passport for years and thought this would be faster due to the higher throughput of USB-C. But it is not significantly faster. It may be faster but I cannot see it. My backup times are very close to the old drive. Still, these are great little drives.

Excellent! This 5TB My Passport Ultra drive by WD has very consistent quality with each one. It lasts for years with frequent intensive reading and writing. There have been no failures for about three years so far.

Fits my entire game library, over 100 PC games Over 100 PC games. 20 of them hog space like GTA5, and I keep it plugged in behind my PC so no one messes with it or bothers with it, including myself. I also use it for music production. No loading issues
