Nothing like as good as I'd hoped. Only bought this one because it doesn't need a subscription. Installation a bit clunky and app isn't that easy to use. Tapo D235 doorbell Hardwired installed and worked fine for first 30days then stopped working. I reset it to factory settings and again worked for 2 weeks. I have no recordings or downloads. The notification doesn't even come through. The support team don't even know how to fix it!

Good device poor battery life video is clear and sharp, Tapo App is not particularly intuitive. Battery life is poor, on first use (fully Charged) down to 20% in 10 days after modifying parameters to below power saving mode values (i. e. to use less battery) and limiting detection zones. Works well I do like this doorbell but the time of detection to notifications is a bit slow it shows I have full connection with the wifi and the device itself is very big and heavy the only real bad thing about it was when my internet stopped I had to delete the device and reinstall it in the app...

FAB Virgil Working better than I imagined. Would recommend. If you can’t screw in a light bulb or find subtitles on tv, you might need help.

Intermittent reliability I replaced a two year old Ring doorbell with the Tapo D235 video doorbell and although the video is better the WiFi signal is poor. Still no update for distortion Great door bell but still no update on distortion to emanate fish eye my d150 had this option but d235 dosnt one star dropped due to this.

Door bell d235 very easy to connect but to senistive on motion for me as I am near a school and it keeps on going off , so i have to turn it off at these times. As well I find it a bit weard that alaxa tells you the model number of unit. but apart from that pleased with unit
