A really fun and interesting build. It's great to have a model where the mechanisms are visible. It adds to the educational value of the orrery. Makes for a unique and striking display model. Hopefully this marks the beginning a trend for more technics other than vehicles of some sort or the other.

Love the use of the gears to get the correct rotation ratios. Found it very difficult to limit myself to building just 1 bag per day!

The most impressive aspect of this Lego set is as a teaching aid for the children, for explaining how the Earth and Moon rotate in relation to the Sun. Also to teach them about the Moon phases. Altogether a great teaching aid. Well done Lego.

I really liked this set…but…unless you are in the southern hemisphere, the moon phase stickers are wrong (e.g. waxing should be lit up on the right, not the left). I had to peel them back off and cut them to get them accurate, and now they don’t look great…maybe Lego could make accurate stickers an...
