Purchased as a portrait lens, i have already found so many other uses for it. Amazingly sharpe even wide open and buttery smooth out of focus areas.

This lens has proved to be a good investment. It might not be as good as the G master, but for a fraction of the cost, I get a similar result.

The Sony 85MM f/1.8 lens is Extremely Sharp at all Apertures, and is Excellent for Portraits , But also as a walk around lens for general Photography , Been using this lens for over a week now and I am super impressed with it.

It’s small, light, sharp, solid build, and it’s cheap! I’m surprised how great are images this lens delivers. Excellent in low light situation. This lens is always with me. It is a must buy for every Photographer. Images are crisp with the nice bokeh.

its just great for how much it costs. the only con is the feeling is a bit cheap, the plastic and the ring doesnt feel premium.

This is a great lens for street photography & portraits. Everything is in perfect focus and you can create perfect Bokeh if needed. Great compliments on the photos taken so far.

Despite its age, its still produces good quality photos with a decent body. I paired it with my A7CII and I was like holding a crop sensor camera as my setup was light. Lens itself is very lightweight.

Very happy with this lens. It's super sharp and has very pleasing bokeh. It's a wonder it doesn't have GM in it's title! Only thing that would make it better is an aperture ring.
