I bought this to team up with my new Sony Alpha Riv and the 24-205mm had been my favorite Canon lens - before I took the leap and moved to Sony. So seemed natural to continue the 24-205mm relationship. Have not been disappointed with the results. Publié originalement sur Sonyap-auS

I've had this lens for about 4 months now, purchased around christmas and now paired with the new a7III this lens performs outstandingly, it has more character than my 28mm f/2 lens and all the versatility that comes from a wide to medium tele lens like this offers, at f/4 I don't feel it drops off... I have a new Alpha body and needed a great quality lens for it. The 24-105mm is by far the most versatile lens for many applications. This Sony 24-105 4 is the most practical high-quality zoom you can get for your Sony. Everything works great and all my pictures are super-sharp and well exposed. Using on my Sony FX6 this lens is great, auto focus works very well and enough zoom to get closer in when needed. I just shoot everything on f4.5 and the lens is sharp as a tack.

I have owned this lens for 3 years and find it great when you don't know what lens you need. From 24 to 105mm gives you total flexibility when traveling. A built-in lens stabilizer is a great feature. I thought the F4 would be a drawback, as I originally wanted a F2.8 but this was not the case.

Good IQ

good length and not to heavy to just take on holiday
Takes a good shot and is quite fast
